Maintenance

Our customers love that they can have their roof installed and don’t have to think about it again for at least 25 years. If you have a bright or pale coloured roof, you will need to clean it occasionally but otherwise GRP roofs do not need any maintenance – no sticking down seams, no checking for bubbling, and no re-sealing. Once your GRP roof is installed, there is no need to touch it for decades.

All of our roofs come with a 25 year guarantee on the material and installation – a well installed GRP roof lasts far longer than that. The material has been used for over 60 years and roofs done in the early years of GRP are still perfectly functional to this day.

Wide Variety of Colours

Unlike felt and rubber roofs, you can choose from thousands of different shades for your GRP roof. The pigment (colour) is mixed into the final layer of topcoat itself, rather than being painted on top, so will never peel off.

​Excellent Waterproofing
​
GRP was originally used for boats and yachts and still is today. So you know that it can withstand even the most torrential downpour and aggressive marine environment. In the UK, consistent and reliable waterproofing is one of the most important qualities to look for in your roofing material. While rubber itself is waterproof, the seams and joins offer plenty of places where the roof can weaken and water can get in – repairs can be extremely costly, especially if the leak is not detected straight away
